    Sleep....whats your opinion?

    first, I'm not sure which category this belongs in, so I just opted to put it here.


    I'm sure I read somewhere in a magazine or where ever that in a good routine, you should get 8 hours a sleep a day, to rest your body fully and what not.

    But recently, a study came out and said for the people who sleep 8 or more hours a day are actually taking years off of their lives...in this study, it said that the human body can cope perfectly fine and live a long healthy, productive life with 4-6 hours a day of sleep.

    Which kinda makes sense being I only get 4-6 hours a day depending on the day of the week.


    Whats your take on this.

    Was the study done on people who are exercising? Heavy lifting?

    I think sleep depends totally on your lifestyle, especially for bodybuilding. I get 4.5-6 hrs of sleep nitely. It works for me because I sit on my butt all day long at my job, I train in the morning and eat to recover the rest of the day.
    If you have a more active lifestyle then more sleep would be important.
    No I'm not on steriods, but thanks for asking!!!!

    i have a pretty active life style i guess, I need at least 7-8 hrs a sllep a night juts to function right.
