I have found both exercises to be beneficial to biceps and forearms...

I do switch from time to time but I don't FEEL the reverse grips working my bi's so most of the time I end up grapping a pair of dumbbells over barbells.

Think about this... when doing a reverse curl..... you lift the weight up from the botom towards your shoulder.... you are using the bicep and not the forearm to lift the weight. Forearms dont bend so how could you possibly lift a barbell from Point A to Point B with out the pivot point. Hence the elbow joint and bicep. You are probaly only used to working one muscle of the bicep (2 muscles total) when doing curls etc... I am pretty sure that the reverse curl works the outter bicep when done with proper form and a good squeeze at the top. The outside of my bi's are on fire after performing 3 sets of reverse curls.

Aren't there more direct exercises you can do for both forearms and biceps? Sounds to me like you want the best of both worlds from the exercises you listed.

Other curls that work the outer bicep? If you know any I'd like to hear them.

    SyNeRgY,

Thanks, I didn't know that forearms don't bend, imagine that(sarcasm). Do reverse grips come first, last or somewhere in the middle of your arm workout?
