All people should read this
"Here's another tip: Never take advice from anyone more messed up than you are. Everybody wants to be an expert these days, but I'd warn you to be cautious of friends, training partners or even personal trainers unless you know they are both a) qualified and b) walk the walk. Lots of people talk the talk, but very few walk the walk. Only take advice from people who walk the walk. If I wanted to take advice on squatting to help me gain lower body muscle mass, I'd ask Tom Platz. If I wanted to get advice on squatting to help me squat heavier weights, I'd ask Dr. Squat Fred Hatfield, Ed Coan or Louie Simmons. "

I try to learn from the experts and experiment on my own to see what works best for me. You have to sift through all the garbage that's out there. Most training comes down to a coomon sense approach. Train intensely and shorter brief workouts, eat properly and rest. It's really not that hard IMO...

It sort of makes sense, but keep in mind, total losers can read what non-losers write about stuff and understand and reiterate even if they are too weak to apply it themself, so they can still be a chat partner if not a training partner or an inspirational example.

Why would you wanna learn how to get big legs from Tom Platz? Or Branch Warren? Why get the advice from someone who naturally has great legs?
I'd wanna get advice from someone who had bad legs genetically, but brought them up eventually and would wanna learn what he did to get them to catch up.

Steal his DNA and apply his work ethic, training philosophies.
(Note part 1 may not be possible for science at this time, and part 3 is partly influenced by part 1).

My gym tried to stick me with a personal trainer that had far less muscle than myself. I laughed as hard as I could and told them to hire at least some ametuer competing bodybuilders, then I would reconsider. They still only have 1 guy that walks the walk and he can't take any more clients since he is booked up for the next year at least.
