What happens to the fat we eat ?
I assume it gets converted during the digestion process to normal calories (1gm = 9 calories) and if there is excess it is stored 'again' as fat.
In that case, even if we eat all fat (100 %) within our calorie limit we still shouldnt get any extra fat. Is this correct ?
Thanks

Fat is one of the most important additions to your diet. There are essential fatty acids that the body must have in order to function correctly. Fat has so many great qualities that I probably cannot name them all...some of the benefits of fat are things such as lubricating joints
promoting testosterone levels
encouraging your body to burn fat (when eaten, thats why low carb diets work)
fat also helps to pad your vital organs and protect them from harm.
the only time that fat is stored is when your body reaches its calorie limit or if you eat too many carbohydrates along with the fat, otherwise there are too many important functions that the body uses fat for other than storage.M.S. Sport Management (in progress)
