Wild Game Meat??
Just out of pure curiousity and the fact that I am bored I thought I would see who all here has wild game that they include in their diet. I will frequently add vension or elk to my diet. What say you.

venison every now and then.. it is high in cholesterol so you have to watch it.
Buffalo is a very good and nutritious wild meat..

psycowolverine thanks for the info. I typically have some sort of steak from wild game once a week (Smoked). So I guess I need to be watching the Choles. Thanks again.

Deer and turkey, plus fish. I (and my wife) didn't get to hunt as much last year, so I'm not eating as much this year.
I use to eat just about anything legal.

Y'all can have the rodents, I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat that ****. I've eaten it before, not by choice either!

If I only knew where to get it I'd be all over it. Best I can manage here in LA is eating ostrich burgers (lunch today) or buffalo while listening to Ted Nugent. That sucks too because wild it's way healthier than supermarket meat. Grass fed animals have a better fatty acid profile and much more CLA than grain fed animals. Or so I have read.

I believe I am pretty lucky then living in Texas and having grown up in a ranching family. Beef is never an issue. I do really enjoy buffalo burgers and the jerkly is amazing.
The other funny thing is I have clients that go out and trophy hunt and then either try the meat and do not like it or just can not eat it all and hand a ton over to me. I have got around 200lbs of elk that way this year.
Happy eating everyone.

I like whitetail deer meat because it seems to have a very low fat content in it. Wild turkey is good too much better than the store bought stuff. I do not have to worry about all the growth stuff they are giving the animals.

I have 6 right now, that was a hint about beef. I don't grow cows, they are the most evil creature ever to walk this planet. My buddy has 120 dairy cows and I'd have killed them all by now. Always wanting to kick the piss out of you, piss on you or **** on you, fuk all that! Bull buffalo can have issues as well and that's not a good thing for an animal that size. The one we had charged me and my dad, he left town back when I was really sick.

Hardly ever eat beef...
Elk only.....leaner and better for you I think.
Not to mention free.....(if you consider $45 per pound after all expenses free)
LOL...those that are addicted to hunting elk know what I mean....archery, rifle, tent, gas, truck, quad, ammo, arrows, sigh.
