Shrimp!!!
So I ate some shrimp last night at my moms house and I found out that shrimp is pretty much pure protein, and not a high calorie food. How come no one talks about shrimp as a protein source? Any one eat shrimp or do people find it bad to eat when cutting?

Just an interesting fact:
Ceviche is, I believe, a Peruvian dish made with seafood that is cold cooked. Meaning that the seafood is cooked in acid, typically lemon or lime juice.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to stamp a big "NO" on that one. Americans LOVE shrimp. "Unhealthy" manners of eating shrimp, such as in alfredo pasta, on pizza, breaded in a coconut batter and fried, etc., are all things that make shrimp an amazingly tasty meat source. Now, for me, since I spend rediculous amounts of cash on food alone as it is just buying all those damn fruits, vegetables, meats, and protein powders, buying shrimp really isn't economically practical as a means of filling up macronutrient requirements.

I eat shrimp all the time. My favorite is chicken and shrimp stir fry with broccoli, green beans, onions, garlic, red pepper, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and chinese cabbage on brown rice. Amazing, high in protein, high in vitamins, high in everything you need.
I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Not exactly, mexicans make it and love it too. Don't know where it originated from though. It's not cooked with lemon or lime juice. The shrimp is cooked, but it's added with onion chili oregano etc, and then you add lemon/lime to it, some salt and tapatio with tostadas. yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I would just watch the cholesterol in stuff like shrimp and other shell fish. They have high protein values yes. Plus shrimp and eggs is awesome.

I had some shrimp last night, never really used it as a bodybuilding food but might start.
I like to put some in with my chicken stir-fry.
One thing I wonder about, warning broscience alert. shrimp are bottom feeders right, is the quality of the protein impact? I doubt it highly, but it entered my dumb head.

Nope. If it's meat, it's a whole protein source.

Its amino acid score is higher than 100 according to this website, which shows that it's a whole protein source.

Two shrimps are in an oven. One shrimps says to the other, "holy cow, it's hot in here!"
The other shrimp says ", HOLY COW! a talking shrimp!
Why wouldnt the shrimp share his treasure?
...... Because he was a little shell-fish.
