Okie dokes... There have been and will be many changes in my life so I thought a new journal would be in order. I will ask a mod to close the old one and hopefully all you fun people who've been commenting will find me here.

Ok, these messages were in my old journal and I hadn't replied, so I thought I'd bring them over here.
Thanks, BBT. I force myself to go to the gym whether I am in the mood or not... It's my stubborn streak. And I always log my workouts, so I don't allow myself to go backwards on weights, either. Did I mention that I have a stubborn streak?
You're a real sweetie, Mark. I hope I can live up to your good words.
I am slightly less logy today, Jason. Could be the instant coffee I dumped into my pre-workout shake.
Hey SoN, nice to see you hear. And nice to see you with an avatar now. You look great!

Nice workout CG. Congrats on the leg extension pb - I always do one leg at a time too, but I hate them - kills my knees.

Great work! Nice to have a clean new journal, huh?

Thanks, Jason.
These are supposed to be big knee killers but they never bother me... even when I used to have knee problems. Now lunges are another story...
I think I need to build up more endurance in my workouts. I've been doing legs 2x/week rather than one longer session but I am starting to wonder if I'd get more out of the single, long session.
I'm sure the chocolate porn will show up soon enough.
Hi Del, thanks for stopping by. I am hoping that all my changes are positive ones, too!
Same to you!

Nice Work out and TWO PB's! Great job!
When you have time, what is a box squat and a bulgarian squat?

Great job! Squats are the toughest exercise, but they yield the best benefits. Good things don't come easy!! Keep it up.

Elise,
Congrats on the new journal. No doubt you will have views and responses that put all other journals to shame within a month...
New job (maybe?), new workouts, I am assuming that the constant will be 70%+ dark chocolate?
Best of luck on the new adventures..._______________________________________________

I worse shorts today for the first tiem in a long time and I can see that my quads have gotten a lot more muscular. But my hammies are still small and I think I probably need to eat a whole lot more than I do to see the type of growth that I want.
Thanks, Tim. Dark chocolate is a constant in my life!
Coming from a guy who eats 300+ grams of protein and hardly any fiber, this is a scary line of thought!

Hi Elise - I hope I am welcome in here....
Great leg workout - and I loved your "near-death" comment. I can relate. I wish I could do Bulgarians like that but I've got a foot issue whereby my foot gets excruciating cramps if it's flexed...in any way. I couldn't bear the excruciating pain in both my foot AND my glutes while going those! I *think* that some people call split squats "Bulgarian squats" - is that right?
I seem to offended you in my journal, so I am making a peace (of Sacher torte) offering!
Please call me Emma....

Thanks, Kevin!
What results? LOL. I am waiting for those!
Emma, if you bring me chocolate, you will always be welcome!
Yes, bulgarian squats are the same as split squats. We actually have a station for them at my gym and I like it. It is plate loaded, and it has a place for you to rest your back foot. I find that I have an easier time keeping my balance on it than I do when I put my back foot on a bench.

Cher????
Ok, I was at Barnes and Noble today and, on the way out, this guy stopped me and said, "Oh my God! You look just like a young Cher."
This can't possibly be a good thing. I've Googled her and most of the pics I've come up with are pretty horrifying! Ack ack ack ack.
