aggravated
so today I go to the gym. I feel good, pants are falling, etc. I decide to get my BMI done. Back in November I was at 22%, clearly not where I wanted to be. So I increased time in the gym and decreased what I ate. I clearly lost weight from Nov, 205ilb and currently now 192. But my BMI went up to 27.6?
unit of measurement was the analyzer and not the calipers. I was so distraught my workout suffered. I felt like quitting.
I see everyone who is ripped want to lose body fat who are at 10% all ready. Drives me nuts!!
On the printout it states I have 18.7% fat %. Should I be looking at this number or my BMI # of 27.6 ?
help!!!!!

It looks to me like you are confusing BMI (Body Mass Index) and your body fat percentage. BMI is just a weight and height calculation, so assuming you didn't get any taller, there is no way your BMI could increase if you lost weight.
Your BF% went from 22% at 205lbs, 45.1lbs of fat/159.9lbs LBM to 18.7% at 192lbs, 35.9lbs fat/156.1lbs LBM
So, you lost about ten pounds of fat and just a few pounds of LBM if the %s are correct.
A BMI of over 25 is considered overweight I believe but the calculation is inaccurate for bodybuilders anyway so I'd say ignore it. Instead, focus on the fact that you lost 10lbs of fat!

BMIs are ridiculous. I wouldn't worry about the number at all, even though it might be a miscalculation. In fact, my goal is to have an obese BMI.

ROTFL!!! Well said! I wish I could rep you for that comment, but I was told I have given out too much in the last 24 hours. I will try and remember to get you tomorrow.
The BMI is meaningless to people who workout. I think it was originally created by sedentary office guys to make fun of other sedentary office guys.

x2...judged by BMI alone, all pro bodybuilders are "obese", even with sub 10% bodyfat!
The BMI formulas do not consider lean mass any different from fat mass in their figures.

BMI does not take bodyfat/muscle mass into account. Its just a straight up calculation of your wieght and heaight, cant remember whatt the sum is, but you can find it round the internet somewhere.
Let the mirror be your best judge man, if you hit a plateau in your fat loss then really switch things up, keep your body on its toes, change your workouts, times of workouts, change your diet around, anything to keep your body shocked.
