what is taraxatone?
i was reading through a gnc catalogue that i received in the mail, and i saw an ad for taraxatone. there is a before and after picture, and time in the picture has elapsed 2 days and the dude looks considerably bigger in the after picture. i know it helps get rid of water weight, but what exactly is this supplement and how does it work? i am 6'1, 157, and looking to take something that will help me gain considerable muscle and weight. would i benefit at all in taking this supplement? also, what does everyone feel about taking andro.. would it benefit someone as lean as me? thanks a lot.

If you're looking to gain mass taraxatone wouldn't be your best choice. It just decreases your water retention and is commonly used by bodybuilders before a competition. It also increases electrolytes.
As far as a mass building supplement goes. Have you tried creatine or any cell volumizing products yet? Are you on whey protein?
Also, how old are you? Unless you have been training for a long while and are over at least 21, PH's wouldn't be a good idea.

i am 21 years old and have been working out, with minimal results, for a while now. i would not call myself a beginner in the gym, but i guess by looking at me you wouldnt be able to tell i have been working out for as long as i have.
i am currently taking nlarge2 and have gained a few lbs, but nothing major.what exactly are cell volumizing products? any specific supplements you would suggest to gain mass?

Indeed. Taraxatone would even be counter-productive for gaining mass.

Correct. This product is only intended for use 2-4 days before a show or photoshoot. It acts as a diuretic - i.e. it gets rid of some of your water weight, sometimes making you look more dry.

Decreases electrolyte.
Being dehydrated throws your electrolyte balance off, and this can have a dramatic effect on the heart.
That's why you have people getting dangerous side-effects from ephedra and others.

What you need is getting familiar with a bbing diet. That represents the main key to progress.
Without sufficient macronutrients and calories, don't expect to go far.

Increase your calorie intake by 500 or so, and I guarantee you will start gaining again.
Also, ditch the N-Large; it's just powdered junk food.
Read this.

RippedUp if you read the product description here, it says that Taraxatone adds critical electrolytes. Bump to your comment about getting a proper diet, that is a must.

This is misleading, as Taraxatone does not contain any essential minerals such as potassium to their formula.

It's pretty much just for before a competition or big photoshoot if one were a model.
It just drains your body of water like bodybuilders do to create that extremely cut up look before a contest.
Unless you're already at a low enough bodyfat, I wouldn't recommend using it.

I already have a pretty low bf%. In March i'am going to use a One+ cycle and after that is want to start cutting. If i cant lose the remaining water weight, i would like to try Taraxatone just before he beginning of summer.
If I use it, how long will the effect of Taraxatone last??

Water retention is a temporary thing that can vary from day to day.
