    Squat Replacement

Any one know of an exercise to replace squats in the Rippetoe routine? I don't have a squat rack in my room so I am pretty much limited.

though there is no real replacement for squats.

a good suggestion is old school hacks such as this:

until you can find a place to do squats....

    Don't do riptoes.

Do something different and use leg exercises you can do.

like front squats (clean the weight up), lunges, step, bb hacks, sissy squats, ghetto ghr's for hammies.

    yeah, use the search.

the basic move is straight up and straight down. the only difference is where the bar is positioned (behind your knees)
