For a show that I did I cut some different parts together of Saliva's song "Lady and Gentlemen." I really liked it and thought it went well.

What kind of energy do you plan on posing with? Slow and powerful? fast paced? Are you choreographing with the song or just using it as background?

lol, at my show last Nov. two guys used the Top Gun theme and they both wore aviators. they played it off pretty well i guess. last year I used the Fox NFL theme song, because it fit perfectly with my minute and a half time limit althought it was a bit fast paced. This year I'm considering something from the 300 soundtrack.

The last two shows that I went to had the best crowd response from mainstream hard rock. The orchestral themed music, even with a good slow/powerful posing routine tended to bore the crowd honestly.
Stuff that was popular (more than 2 competitors used it) was Korn actually. The best crowd response came from a routine that used Guns'n'Roses (pPatience and paradise city i think). His second choice was going to be Pour Some Sugar on me by Def Leppard. A lot of the slower more R&B music was not so great as far as getting the crowd excited. To pull that off you got to be pretty impressive I think. I know if and when I hit the stage I am probably going to go with something like AC/DC, something that everyone has heard before and is very upbeat/rocking.
Also make sure that you are choosing music with NO profanity at all. Last thing you want to do is be surprised by being yanked off stage for that. I know a former pro got tore up backstage at one show cause he had profanity in his guest posing music, basically they were screaming at him about never posing in that state again for the organization they represented.
