I limit myself to 3 grams / kilo of bodyweight, which is about 35 % of my daily caloric intake.
Don't go overboard on carbs, specially on high GI carbs, they will make you fat. Also, a good timing is everything when it comes to carbs.Free Newsletter and ******** Community : TrainAthome Fitness

no
u see everything in my house that has lots of calories
also has LOTS of carbohydrates
the carbohydrates in the food we have is always high
i cant find anything with a small amount of carbs
its really pissing me off
and all i do is run 30 minutes on a treadmill then walk for 15 minutes, so in total a cardio workout of 45 minutes everyday
so do u think the diet above is okay for me
also the reason i'm not weightlifftin now is because i dont want the muscles bein covered by fat
i've been told it'll be easier to get muscles and look cut by losing fat
so right now my goal is fatloss
then weightliftingLast edited by Klear; 12-30-2003 at 03:07 PM.

You're all wrong here. First, your caloric intake is way too low. Second, if you do not weight train, this cardio will burn fat, yes, but it will also burn MUSCLE. So where will you be? 10 pounds lighter with the SAME or even a HIGHER bodyfat percentage. You will look the same or WORSE than you do now. Is that what you want?
What you were told about getting muscles and losing fat is wrong.
how much shud my carbohydrate intake be
cuz everything i eat with high calories also has high carbs

hm... alright if you want to gain size/strength you're gonna need to eat "alot" more healthy foods. I mean are you even 3 meals a day? Best if you eat atleast 6 times, gradually work your way up to 9 meals if you'd like, but make sure you eat more man. Even if you have to eat the same things twice a day, eat it! Your body begs for calories... if I were in your shoes with my body type... I think I'd just feel dead all day every day.

I need a lot more information to give you proper advice. You are 171 pounds. How tall are you?
Read this article. What body type are you?

Have you weight trained before and if so, what did you do?
i weight trained a little bit nothing big
lifted 2 dumbells for about 30 minutes a day with pushups, situps
a couple of months ago, and then i jus stopped, about a week ago we bought a treadmill and my my entire workout routine is on the treadmill
you see i've been told to lower my daily calorie intake by 400-500
but before my calorie intake used to be around 1400-1500 i calculated from the foods i used to eat
and i used to eat 2 big meals a day and some snacks here and there so now that i lowered my calorie intake, you guys are telling me to increase it, wont that just lead to me to gaining weight?Last edited by Klear; 12-31-2003 at 10:32 AM.
