Why does no one ever recommend Anastrozole for PCT AI

Things like 6oxo, RR, and Novedex are always recommended for and AI during PCT.

But why not Anastrozole? Its perscription like Nolva, and if you can get Nolva you can generaly get Anastrozole. Plus its cheaper.

Is it recommended against to use this as a PCT AI?

Most people call it Dex or Arimidex. Its been used for PCT before (Ive done it) but most will agree due to its strength its best used on cycle.

Well, Anastrozole is used by a lot of bodybuilders at higher levels. Apparently, studies have been done showing that it is more effective than Tamoxifen in a lot of cases.

I would guess the reason for this is, there are probably 4 people on this forum who actually know the details about things like Nolva, but 99% of the people who talk about it are just relaying second hand information, they didn't go and research the use of a particular prescription drugs for themselves on impulse, they read a thread saying it's the best choice.

Plus, a lot of people don't want to go to the trouble of buying prescription stuff from overseas research chemical companies for a lot of cash, and it isn't necessarily required with certain PH like compounds on the markets, you can do a proper PCT with milder, legal compounds.

Apparantly it performs the same role as Tamoxifen when used off label to prevent Gyno or Water retention, so it very well could be used.

    thats what i thought.

It just seems like it would be more cost efficeint to run it as an AI, rather than 6oxo or somthing

even at low doses like .25mg or somthing.

any idea how it would be used in PCT
    maybe somthing like-

    .25mg
    .50mg
    .75mg
    1mg

althought that get pretty powerful at the end there.

Arimidex pulls up testosterone levels by reducing estrogen. This is not a good thing. Use it too long, and LDL and cholesterol level would skyrocket and HDL would fall to zero.

Nolva works by binding to estrogen receptors (though it acts as estrogen agonist in some tissues). This is safer.

By a similar logic, in general, SERMs are preferred over anti-aromatases.

Adex is very effective at dramatically reducing/eliminating estrogen, whether on cycle or during PCT. This is bad; during PCT you want test and estrogen levels to return to normal. Not allowing this to happen can harm recovery. On cycle it's fine although it will slow gains.

Yes; it will suppress estrogen too much for PCT. You want both estrogen and test to return to normal. Adex will prevent estrogen from returning to normal. I've never tried it during PCT and don't intend to. It's best suited for on cycle use if you absolutely want to reduce water/bloat.

I would stay away from strong AIs (adex, aromasin, etc) during PCT. I'm not really familiar with any of the OTC AIs so I couldn't say. Obviously they would be much weaker, so they may be more successful at returning estrogen to normal levels, but again I have little knowledge of OTC AIs. If you're just doing a PH cycle, I don't see the need for an AI anywhere. For PCT, I would just run the standard.
Again you want test and estrogen to return to normal during PCT. If you use an AI, test levels will be normal before estrogen levels. Thus, you'll have a rebound effect (possible gyno, etc).
