I took ecdysterone for a little over a month(before I started reading this board, unfortunately), and I gained as I would normally. My bench went up about 15 pounds in about 5 weeks. However, when I quit taking it, it seems like I got weaker. My bench just dropped 20 pounds, but most of my other lifts are about the same. A few of them went down(mainly chest exercises). I thought I might be overtraining so I took a week off but my bench remained the same. It took a few weeks but it's about up to normal now. Do you think this has anything to do with the ecdysterone?

Ecdysterone is a bug hormone, it doesn't do jack in humans.

You could be suffering from the placebo effect... You think that the ecdysterone helped you with your lift, when in reality it was your frame of mind while on ecdysterone.
I was wonderng if Ecdysterone works also, but I'm tired of asking the same questions. But hey it could have worked for you, or it could have been in your head. Mental state while lifting is a huge influence.-Andrew

What ecdysterone supplement were you taking anyways? I took Ecdybol for a while and it didn't do anything for me. But Ecdybol has a very low dosage. Syntrabol, for example has a much higher dosage, so if you were taking Syntrabol, there is a small possibility that it indeed may have been enhancing your strength.

I was also taking ecdybol. I don't think it was like the placebo effect, because I don't think I got stronger off of it. Anyways, if my max was 5 pounds different, then it might be in my head, but mentally you don't go down 20 pounds on your max.

I sure as hell know that it's not my diet, as I'm bulking and getting PLENTY of food and protein. I must have been overtraining my chest, because my bench was the only lift that dropped. Oh well, I'm back to normal now.

I used Ecdysterone HPLC by MST, not bad.
It has AAKG and vitamins.
