The HST is certainly not a new philosophy in the bodybuilding community. After reading the article on the main page I am a little perplexed as to it's effectiveness for muscle growth.
To me training a bodypart 3 times a week is a recipe for disaster but admittedly I have not tried it.
Does anyone have any experience with it.

thats because you were probably training to failure .
HST is based on low volume and never going to failure. So it's a different story.
During my cycle, if I realize that I'm overtraining, which is always possible, I will not sit there waiting for the end of my cycle. I will regulate like I do now.

I agree that if you go to failure, a frequency of 3 times a week is impossible.
