Pre 5am Workout??

I am currently working towards loosing as much bodyfat as possible. The only time I have available to workout is at 500am. I go to bed at 1000pm to 1030. So i already know that is not enough sleep but I until things slow down a bit this is all i got.

My question is what pre work out nutrition should I be concerned with. Currently I have a Whey protein shake. I am thinking of adding some simple carbs to it but i am unsure as to what that will do to my fat lose. Thanks in advance

Instead of simple carbs I would use oats or grape nut cereal. Keep the whey and maybe add in some BCAAs.

Thanks, and this should not mess with the fat lose to much right. As I am trying to preserve as much muscle as possible. Like everyone right. Thanks again

When I am cutting I am not so worried about losing fat DURING cardio, but more worried about staying below maintanence throughout the day which will allow fat loss to occur. Keeping as much LBM while cutting can be difficult, but achievable. I like to focus my carbs around morning, afternoon, and workout. Other than that I keep my carb intake relatively lower at night. BCAAs can be a great way to "help" keep LBM, but are not necessary.

Good luck with your goals.
