    Body weight to arm size ratio

    For people who keep personal stats over the years I found this thread on another site to be interesting.Finding the ratio between bodyweight and arm measurement,the lower the ratio # the better you should look.For example i went back 15 years when i weighed 198lbs and my ratio was 198 divided by 15"=13.20 and now at 172lbs with a 14.25 measurement the ratio is 12.07.So even though Im 26lbs lighter and 3/4"smaller I should look more impressive than before when I was 15 years younger and bigger.Any thoughts?

    That probably makes sense but when most people size others up they focus on the whole upper body as far as width and thickness. Big biceps look cool but are not the measure of fitness or strength. IMO

    Its about as skewed as BMI. IMHO..

    (Besides, I dont like my personal results..so there )

    I wouldn't get to excited about those kinda calculators. My chest is 6" bigger than the calculator indicates it could ever be. LOL

    I've got a friend that won't even work on his arms, because they respond so well to exercise he doesn't want to look like a freak or something. He hates it because he can't do uppper body without involving his arms. LOL

    I'm not so sure about this, unless I've done something wrong.

    When I first started working out I weighed 137 lbs and my arms were probably no more than 13" cold flexed. That gives a ratio of 9.78

    Currently I'm 220 with arms 17" cold flexed. That gives a ratio of 12.94

    I think I look way better now, even carrying 20 excess lbs, than I did back then. At my goal the ratio should be 11.76 Still looking way better than before, or even now because I won't have the excess fat.

    When you first started out, your ratio would have been 10.5. Math error. Cheers
