    Whey protein and creatine powder mix....

    I finally started using the powder today and I am not too pleased. The chocolate whey tastes great but when I added the creatine (unflavored powder) it gave it a really bitter taste. It seemed ok when I first started drinking it but then what topped it off was the grainy taste at the end of my glass.

    What I want to know is, how do you guys mix your powder, and what is the disadvantage of taking the capsules instead?

    i just measure out the creatine, dump it in my mouth, then either chase it down with water, or with my protein shake.

    also, about powder vrs. caps- all of the creatine caps ive come across are a lot more expensive, plus each cap is like 1g per capsule. thats 5 capsules a day at the least, and odds are that wont last too long for the amount of money you spend.

    I either take my creatine with grape juice or with my protein/dextrose shake post workout. When im mixing it with grape juice i stir for a few seconds and drink it immediately because it has a tendency to settle. If i dont get it all ill just throw some water in the glass and finish what didnt make it down the first time. When i take it in my post workout shake i usually don't notice it being grainy because it tastes so bad i have to chug it anyway. Just throw it back and be done with it.. I've rarely had a protein shake that i could actually enjoy.
    Don't bother with the capsules you have to take a ton of them and the powder is the best thing out there right now.
