    300-500 calorie surplus better than 5000cal/day?

    I know there is a way to determine how many calories you burn a day and that you should eat 300-500 more to gain weight? Which for me would be around 3500-3800 a day, but why I not gain more muscle faster if I ate 5000 a day?

    Yah you will have all kinds of gains at 5000 calories a day, but most of them will be to your waste size...

    The only gains you'll get with 5k calories daily are unnecessary fat gains, unless you're juiced up or extremely active..
    Not to mention, it'll probably eat a hole out of your wallet unless you're content with filling up the majority of your caloric intake with rice and pasta.
