I can't do it...I just cant..
I've been trying to lose some weight...i'm 199lb, 5'11
Two and a half years ago I was 260lb, and dropped down to 220 by simply removing soda from my diet. One year ago I was still 220-225lb, started lifting hard, and remained around 210-230lb, never lower then 210...I dove into nutrition late november, started a cut of 2200calories a day, went down to 200lb...was actually about 193lb jan 5th of this year. jan 6th, rolled my ankle at work and cracked my fifth metatarsal. fine, whatever, kept my diet at 2200 calories for the month I was unable to workout for, hit the gym again in a month lifting upper body and using the stationary bike (I could do that with the walking boot on)
feb 10th, two days after my birthday, I hurt my right shoulder. labral tear + 40% of my labrum is torn. k whatever, 2200 calories, cardio for a month until I could use my feet again...now i'm doing lower body/core workouts and cardio. 2200 calories a day once again, can't drop below 200lb. I've tried, and i've tried...I do cardio till my lungs feel like they are going to explode, whether it's elliptical, bike, or running half a mile, walking a bit, running again, and so on.
I still can't lose the weight. currently I do a leg day, cardio the next (30-45min), core day + 25min cardio, rest or cardio, and repeat the cycle
why can't I lose the weight? Why can't I eat 2200 calories a day and lose weight? Is something wrong with me? This was my year to lose the extra 20lb...and it's ****ed up already. hell...6 days into the year I ****ed it up.

Losing or gaining is simple. Energy in vs. energy out. Post up your diet, thats probably the culprit of your failure.

Perhaps you burn less calories now than you did at 260lbs.
You can either lower the calories or do cardio+lifting both 5 days a week or something. I do cardio in the morning and lifting late afternoon.

if it's simple, energy in vs energy out, how is it the culprit of my failure?
I take in 2200 calories, my maintence calories is 2700.
Obviously it isn't simple...
And that's the funny thing, I didn't do anything when I dropped from 260lb to 220lb...other then video games.
reps to those who replied, thanks

are you sure you are eating 2200 calories? Do you measure/weigh everything you eat?

Try this. The only liquid that enters your mouth is water. Nothing else. No 100 Plus, no H2O (whatever the bottle or packet drinks that claim that it is H2OoooLOL), no Zero Coke (whatever soda that claim that it is zero caloriesss. LOL LOL.)

If you're consuming 2200kcal and not losing weight then your maintenence isn't 2700kcal. Formula's don't take into account long terms of dieting and other things that can slow your metabolism.

You make it seem like you're doing everything right and still not losing weight.
You're doing something wrong.
Post diet.

POST YOUR DIET!!!
THe formulas we use are a Guideline... They're not guaranteed to work for everyone... Some people have extremely fast metabolisms, some have really slow...
Post up your diet so we can at least see if thats the culprit.
