    non-dairy protein bars?

Well I'd like to get a nice jolt of protein easily from a protein bar or something similar (home made would be great), but I am having trouble finding any that are non-dairy. I have bad allergies to milk (in case anyone isnt aware whey is out of the question) AND eggs, which pretty much kills most recipes I've seen that seem to involve dumping 8 eggs and a gallon of milk in a jug.

So, anyone know a good non-dairy, easy to take (ie shake or bar), protein source? Home made or storebought is fine.

Best bet would probably be WPI (the pure isolate should have so little lactose as to not pose an issue, assuming that's the problem)...that's whey protein isolate, by the way.

Other than that, go to proteincustomizer.com and get some egg protein -- it's not quite as good as casein/whey, but it'll certainly do. Just make sure to flavor it, as the taste is god-awful without artificial sweetener.
