What do you guys think about the Mr. Olympia that was shown in Pumping Iron? Do you guys REALLY think that Arnold should have won? I am a HUGE Arnold fan, I admire him ALOT. However, I believe that there were better bodybuilders out there that day, namely Serge Nubret and Franco Columbu. Arnold was just too asymmetrical in my opinion. What do you guys think?

Serge Nubret was better but arnold knew every trick in the book... but when arnold came out of retirement in 1980... he never hsould have won...

easily without a doubt, serge nubret. probably the most aesthetic bodybuilder of all.
arnold just seemed too blocky.Isaiah 43:2: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Yeah, just too many things were lacking on Arnold. Franco was a fantastic bodybuilder, better than Arnold. Serge DEFINITELY should have taken the heavyweight title, he is one of my favorite older bodybuilders. In fact, so is Franco

Arnold isn't Blocky. Guys like Art Atwood are. If Arnold was blocky he would never have been able to show his body effectively the way his posing does.

If arnold were smarter, he would have competed with a higher weight...Think about it. He said something about 240 was perfect for him, BUT, if were too go at something like 260, his legs would have been bigger and what not, just as long as he were too keep his bf low.

personally i thought arnold edged out serge in the heavyweights but should have lost to franco overall.

When it came down to Arnold and Franco, and I don't think it was an even comparison, seeing how Arnold is alot taller then Franco, but I personally thought arnold was better then Franco, just for the fact that arnold was all around bigger, Franco was just a little more cut, and had a better mid section.

I can't believe people are saying arnold is blocky!!!
Do yall know what blocky means?"The strong rule where they can and the weak suffer what they must."

Show a pic of a blocky guy so we can compare. I for one don't think Arnold was blocky. I think he flows quite well.

A 33" waist on a 230lb-250lb guy with a 50+ inch chest is a weak point?
Some people aren't even at 200lbs and have a waist that size or bigger!
