Visiting Texas for the nascar race and moto gp in April. Fort Worth and austin, maybe Waco to see the Texas ranger museum. Any suggestions on cool stuff to see in these places?

I would have to say if you are going to Austin, and enjoy the night life, you HAVE to hit 6th street. Also, if I remember correctly, Austin is the mecca for live entertainment (music). Maybe hit Franklin's BBQ or even JMueller BBQ for some grub. Speaking of food, while you are driving south on 35, you must.... let me repeat that, you MUST stop in West, TX ( pronounced West comma TX -- not the western half..) at either The Czech Stop or The Village Bakery and have some kolaches. West is known as the kolache capital of TX and maybe even the world! ( ok, so I threw in the world part....) Don't settle for some roll with a piece of sausage trying to be a kolache, it's not! Any Austin brahs in here? Was wondering how traffic is for some areas. I am looking for a place to live out there and trying to find a place that won't bog me down with traffic.
