Welcome to my UNsponsored Controlled Labs RED ACID Log...

why: i am dieting down, and anything that will help, especially something with an appetite suppressant effect is welcomed =) I am an ex-fatty, so no matter what I do, my body always craves food... always... Seriously, i feel like i'm starving to death ALL DAY if i'm under 3000cals... its crazy

Also, after reading many many logs, trying to find hardcore-dedicated info on JUST Red Acid, I decided I would do it myself and help others out...

If I did happen to find a good log, the person usually wasn't consistent enough with their Diet/Training to factor out enough variables to gauge whether RA was effective enough... Sooo, I bit the bullet and now the proud owner of a bottle of CL's RED ACID =)




About Me:

Sex: Male
Age: 22 (yes, i know i look 17)
Height: 5'6" ... 5'7" with my hair
Weight: 158lbs
BF%: 11.2 as of right now... According to the Calipers. I only have the little bit of fat left on my lower abs.

Training:

5 Days a Week... Since I'm dieting, low carb at that, I will not be putting any mass on... only working each bodypart during each of those days, to help keep the muscle i currently have... PLUS, it depletes my glycogen, so after i'm done training... CARDIO!

Cardio is Everyday. 20-30mins after Weight Session, and 40mins on Off Days in the morning. =)


Goal:

To reach 8-9% bf, then bulk up again, and once again cut down to where I have packed on as much muscle as my body can retain @ 155lbs... then, I will compete in the lightweight class this coming year =)


DIET:

Yes, the MOST IMPORTANT aspect... some of you seem to forget that

- Low Carb for the next 30days. I know my body enough now, that this is what works for me. I will be maintaining 100g carbs on Workout Days... and no more than 30g on Non-Workout days.
- Calories will be set at 2000.
- Protein will be set at 1.5g per LBM. Rest of Cals will be from Good-Essential Fats, and of course, my Varying Carbs. Carbs will be mostly Post-Workout.

I eat the same foods everyday: Ground Turkey, Tuna, Oats, Brown Rice

Other Supplements: Animal Pak
ON Delicious Strawberry Whey -- Post W/O with Dextrose



Log Starts Tomorrow... Will Update Everyday if possible... With New Pics sporatically...

Day 1

Ok, so its officially a go...

Dosages: 3capsules before Breakfast @ 8am, and 3 more 30minutes before workout... They were spaced about 8 hours apart.


Results:


Within 30minutes of each dosage, I could definitely feel my body heat up... It felt as if my blood was warming right under my skin.

Extra energy was a no-go today... I was just dead tired all day. It did manage to help me get thru my workout, which lacked the intensity i normally have... So thats a Plus.

Appetite Suppression... also a no-go today. Of course, I understand that it may take a few days for this to happen... Which is ok with me. I'm used to feeling like my stomach is eating itself. lol

My body also seemed to retain a lot more water as the day went by... Not sure what caused that, as I drink at least a gallon everyday.. Usually 2+ -- Could it be the RA?! Guess we'll find out in the coming days...



Diet:

Diet was on @ 1980kcals. I hit 300g Protein, with 82g Carbs... The rest was good fats =)


Training:

BACK:

Lat Pulldowns - 20,15,12,10,10,8
DB Rows - 15,12,10,8,8
Hammer Strength Rows - 3x12 + Dropsets

Was going to do Deadlifts, but didn't have the energy

CARDIO @ 20mins Post W/O


Bodyweight:

Spot on @ 156lbs this morning, and then by the time i was finished working out, it was 164... My abs dissappeard as well. lol

Similar end results, but definately a different formula. You should get a strong energy boost / thermo effect from Gen 1... I personally liked the following split dosage:

ooooh... Day 2 is already over...

Diet:

Spot on @ 2011kcals - 280g Protein and 90g Carbs


Training:

Triceps today... I'm going to start going to a 4day Split... My body TIRED... I've actually been dieting for 3 weeks already, and its just running low...

FYI: I'm not going to record poundages.. just reps, as my strength is up and down.. I'm just working my muscles for maintenance, so I could be really strong one day, and weak the next.


Rope Pushdowns - 30,20,15,10,10,8
Single Arm DB OverHead Xtensions - 10,10,8,7
Skull Crushers - 12,10,8
Underhand Pushdown Bar Extensions (cable) - 3x12


CARDIO - 40mins on the TreadClimber =) Oooh yeah, you're jealous.. I know


Supplementation:

2caps - 30mins Before Breakfast
2caps - 30mins Before Workout
2caps - 2hours after Post W/O Meal


Thoughts:

Still retaining water... I weighed 159lbs this morning... My "4pack" was still vague, due to the water.. Normally I can see it pretty clearly all day, especially in the morning... Its kind of messing with my mind

I'm still really tired.. I slept til 1pm today, but my body is just worn out for some reason, so i'm not feeling any of the "stim" effects.

Will get some BCAA's and such tomorrow and hopefully sleep a lot tonight. I have trouble sleeping and i'm sure thats part of the problem...

this is some serious water retaining... my face is bloated, as well as the rest of my body... maybe something is wrong?

My sodium intake is pretty much nilch... and my carbs are from post w/o shake, and my morning and nighttime shake.... =(

this is crazy... Any ideas CL?

ok... i'm stopping Red Acid... after I get paid i'll go buy some Gen 2 and see if that helps...

I continue to be bloated extremely badly... and my energy is zapped, and i'm not even low-carbed anymore.. This Red Acid makes me feel like crap...


I'll start a new log when i recieve a bottle of Gen 2.
