yes, it does. The Admin should set it up so that no links can be posted until the user makes at least 10 legit posts.
At the forum I go to most often we have it set to 25 posts before they're allowed to post links.

i wish it wasnt empty, id go there rather than bodybuilding.com, but bodybuilding.com has so many more ppl and ppl who have played football in the past that are just lifitng now.

My first article there will be put up there in (apparently) a couple of months time or so (according to JP).
I've also posted in some things than needs to be changed in the forum.
1. Spammers need to be dealt with. I've just about to register, but I'm hesitating due to the sex spams.
2. Consolidate all the sports topic into just a few topics. Rather than have "Rugby" and/or "soccer" and split into different sports, consolidate them all into the 4 main categories and improve a skill categories. Not only does it clear up the forum, it gives it the perception of a general activity. Right now, if a potential new member glosses over the forum, all they would see is load of "0"s indicating that no member is active in a certain section (a potential rugby member isn't gonna sign up if the rugby section is empty, with loads of dead-end threads).
3. As much as I hate to say it, the site needs a misc. I hate the misc, but it is the sole reason why this site became popular in the first place.
4. Do what "wannabebig.com" does and make downloadable posters (here: http://www.wannabebig.com/promote_wannabebig.php ) that allow people here to post them up at thier school gyms, commercial gyms, and sports clubs.
I really want to promote athletes.com, but it definately needs some promotion.

I like the website ive known about it for 2 weeks or so but wont that take away from this forum and im tired of having like 5 passwords. Also wannabe forum i knew aboutthat also but i mean bodybuildings just got alot of people on it so more people are always goign to go on here. PLus theres T-nation and a bunch of other small websites so will see but goodl uck guys with the website
