A friend of my Dad's met Andre the Giant in Australia back in the day. Said he was a very intelligent man. My Dad's friend used to do a bit of pro wrestling here yonks ago ... used to wrestle under a mask because he was a police officer & at the time police officers weren't allowed to wrestle lol!

Andre was really 6'11'' in his prime ... never taller than that. He was just billed at 7'4'' - 7'5'' to make him seem all the more gigantic and scary. He used to stand on a box during interviews ( where you couldn't see his lower body ) frequently to make himself appear even taller.

He lost height as his body basically began to break down in the late 80s due to the ravaging effects of agromegaly ... he was 6'10'' at Wrestlemania 3 ... & only 6'8'' - 6'9'' at the time of his death in 1993.

He was a legitimate 500-pounder though.

Shaq is AT LEAST 7'1'' ... probably closer to 7'1 1/2'' or so.

He was probably bull****ting ... what you said is true ... but on the other hand some guys in the NBA are actually listed or have claimed to be * below * their real heights ... because it makes their accomplishments on the court seem all that more impressive than if they were taller.

I have seen old stats that Batista was 6'5 275.. but those are old.

The Rock was 6'4 275ish in his chubby days, and Batista is way bigger than him.

    Batista was thicker than Kane.

I heard Triple H is really only 6'3.. so lets give him 265... If Batista was only 6'5 275, Triple H would be damn near his size and perhaps bigger.

Hell, Goldberg. If he is about 6'3 285, Batista has to be bigger than 6'5 275 to be so much bigger than him.

For real heights, It would not suprise me that Angle is 5'11. Hell, they even list him at 6'0 sometimes.

In the Rock's book, (I think I saw it there) Shawn Micheals is really 5'11 195. HBK gets credit for being the first WWE(F) Champion under 200lbs but on TV he is 6'2 227. I think X-Pac was listed at 6'1 215 and during the NWO thing, he and HBK looked about the same size when they were standing face to face. For more BS, I saw an old, perhaps 91 match, between Mr. Perfect and Micheals. They said Micheals was 236 in that match.

    Another Batista Pic

275? C'mon... I mean really, lol (And yes, the reason why he looks so tall was because he was probably jumping when the pic was taken)

He has to be near Lesnar's size and with an inch over him.. I'll give him 300-305 though

Ok guys ... you are gonna be in for a shock ... I know I sure was!!

I just got back home from the Perth, Australia leg of the WWE Passport to Smackdown tour and as promised I told ya I'd give you all a rundown on the legit stats of any wrestlers I got near ...

I never got to meet any personally, I went out on Friday night ... around the club district and around town ... I thought they might have been here in Perth already and kept my eye out ... but saw no one! I found out today however they never arrived from Singapore until just 3 hours before the show! Missed out but oh well ... I did have the fortune of sitting ringside, right next to the guard rail AND the aisle so I was able to make very accurate estimates of their real heights & weights as they all stood right next to me on level ground at different times ( I did check ) so here goes ...

    A-Train - man did I ever get a suprise when I saw him come out ... I was expecting an enormous 6'6'' 350lb monster ... he's still friggin' huge ... but I am telling you ... the guy is 6'3'' 300 - 305lbs tops!

Ric Flair - about 5'11'' ... was billed at 235lbs and would have weighed right about that ... very large man.

Johhny Stamboli - I loomed over him ... 6'3'' my ass ... the guy is really 6'0'' ... bloody diesel though ... he woulda weighed about 240 solid pounds.

The Big Show - biggest suprise of the night seeing him ... when I first saw him I thought wtf ... this is him?! I was expecting to see a 6'11'' giant - know how tall he really is? About 6'8'' if he was lucky AND stood up straight ( He seemed slightly hunched - possibly an affect of the agromegaly he used to have as he gets older ) Nowhere near 500lbs either ... I'd give him about 390lbs. It's just mind boggling they were able to pass him off as being 7'4'' in WCW ... but he does look about that on tv which is the main thing.

Rikishi - 6'1'' 350lbs ... he woulda been smack bang on what the WWE bills him as. Monsterous man.

Brock Lesnar - Definitely no more than 6'2'' 285lbs. Right about that.

Rey Mysterio - About 5'3'' ... diminutive height ... but really jacked.

    Tajiri - What you'd expect ... about 5'5''.

Billy Kidman - He was a big solid guy ... only about 5'8 1/2'' tall though.

Matt Morgan - 6'8'' or 6'10''? He was under 6'5''!! 6'4 1/2'' if he was lucky. The biggest laugh of the night was hearing him announced as being 320lbs ... he was 260 tops. Ludicrous how much they exagerrate his weight.

Chris Benoit - 'Bout 5'9'' 220lbs. What you'd imagine him to be already.

John Cena - 6'1'' tall ... he was billed as 220lbs and that looked about right to me.

Bradshaw - This guy is under 6'3''. About 6'2 1/2''.

Eddie Guerrero - 5'8'' ... well over 200lbs ... very big guy. Seemed quite top heavy though. His very noticeable chest and back acne along with a betroot red face as his match progressed blatantly betrayed his steroid use.

Jamie Noble ( Sorry if I spelled his name wrong ) - he was real short ... like 5'6''.

I think I covered most everyone you'd be interested in. You can pretty much take those estimations as gospel ... I'm quite adept when it comes to making estimates of all kinds of things ... I'm never off by more than half an inch with height or too many lbs in weight ... so ya can trust me

I'd have to take back my claim of Nathan Jones being a legit 6'10'' too. He got within a few people of me once and seemed like he really was that tall, but was no doubt elevated higher above me. I thought it was weird how it seemed like he was more like 6'7'' or so in the ring ... my suspicions were proven correct tonight however with my vantage point on level ground with all the wrestlers. For some odd reason he wasn't on the card but he'd really only be about 6'7'' tall.

Anyway, really really amazing to see just how much their stats are exagerrated. Not much is as it seems in in pro wrestling!

They always announce cena as 245/250 on tv, wonder why they changed it there?

eddie is 240 from a police report.

Yeah, who knows. Probably a stuff up or something ... they once announced Kevin Nash as being 6'10'' in WCW ( incidentally he'd really be about 6'7'') when they usually billed him as 7'1''! Cena is a big guy ... about 220lbs ... strong as heck too ... he picked the Big Show up and f-5'd him ( eh sorry if I got the move wrong - it was like Brock Lesnar's finisher - I haven't been following wrestling as much as I'd like the last year or two )

Hmmm no way was Eddie 240. Just no way. He was big ... but not that big. Seemed very bloated too. I'd say he was about 205 -210lbs. Police weigh ya in your clothes and shoes ect ... so if he was a little bigger at the time ... fully clothed and after a big meal he probably could very well have hit 240 or close on the scales.

6'2 1/2 for Bradshaw? Did you get your tape measure out? 6'2 1/2 is close enough to 6'3. No big dramas there.

You say that Matt Morgan is 6'4 1/2 and you say that Nathan Jones is 6'7...i have news for you Jay, when Matt and Nathan are in the ring together they stand shoulder to shoulder, so your obervations are way off for one of the two.

Well WWE bills Bradshaw as 6'6'' ... I figured he'd be 6'5'' or almost because he did seem that tall on tv, pics & everywhere else I'd ever seen him ... but he wasn't.

As for Morgan and Jones being the same height, no way man. Granted I didn't see Jones this time but he's a lot taller than Morgan. Jones was so tall you could be forgiven into thinking he really was 6'10'' even not too far from the ring ... Morgan is nowhere near as towering though and you couldn't convincingly pass him off as 6'10'' in person in a month of Sundays.

You can see from these two pics from a previous thread Jones is 2 + inches taller than Morgan. Jones has got a wider stance & standing slightly further back than Morgan in the second pic ... 2 1/2'' is about right.

Your estimations are all way off.

Show is a legit 6'11,hes always been as tall or slighter taller than nash who is 6'10.

Morgan is a good 6'6 and jones is at least 6'7 which is the undertakers height.

Big show clearly towers above all of them so i dont know how u can say hes only 6'8.

Bradshaw is also a genuine 6'5

The really tall guys you dont have to even see in person to judge their height you can just see their extremely long limbs and "stretched" proportions which is what happens when you get to 6'5+ territory.

    I agree!

Brock Lesnar 6'2?? I met him backstage at Tour de Force when they came over and let me tell you he is a hulk. He is at the very least 6'3. Personally I dont think that they exagerate as much as you people think, these guys are truely huge. Met Booker T also and he is easily the 6'3 they bill him as. My wrestling teacher is 6'5 1/2 and weighs around 250. He is ALWAYS in shock at how big the WWE guys are as he's pretty much met them all. He said that Coach was about his size and that he asked my teacher, 'so what do you do, are you a reporter?' lol :P

Flair looked to have obviously put on some weight recently, he was bigger then he seemed on tv ect. He would have weighed about 235. Cena was more muscular of course and bigger in that regard ... but he wasn't 235 - around 220 or so. Cena was big ... but not as big as you'd imagine ... there's no chance he was 240 - 250 ... you look much bigger than you are on tv, especially when you're ripped & muscular like he is. Flair would have been heavier than Cena however.

The Big Show is definitely not a legit 6'11''. He'd be about 6'8'' if he managed to stand up straight ... slouched over like he usually is he's a tad less. Trust me, I was standing right next to him as he was heckling the guy next to me in the aisle. There is no way in hell he is anything over 6'8''.

Just because you saw them in real life means nothing.
I use certified heights from other wrestlers as benchmarks to compare them to each other.

Kevin Nash is a legit 6'10 1/2 and as i said before show was always as tall or taller when compared to him.
How is that possible if hes 6'8?
Did you notice he was almost a full head taller than brock lesnar?

Ive seen brocks old state wrestling bio and he was listed as 6'3.
I doubt they also inflate heights for no reason.

Then when you see bradshaw clearly taller than brock you can say with confidence hes really 6'5.

If you actually compared the wrestlers to each other you would get a far more accurate insight into their heights and you would notice that your assumptions clearly dont add up.

Fair enough, I do as well.

Just because I saw them in person means nothing? Well you know ... I've got absolutely no reason to make this up ... if they were really that big I woulda said so & told it as I saw it ...

I have never seen Kevin Nash in person, but going from what I saw on the weekend I'd have to say he's really about 6'7''. How do you know he's a legit 6'10 1/2''?

US colleges inflate the heights & weights of their athletes all the time. There wasn't much difference in height between Brock and Bradshaw ... less than an inch. You have to keep in mind these guys wear lifts in their boots sometimes as well. Like I said, I'm just telling it as I saw it, & Bradshaw was really less than an inch taller than Brock.

Well apart from the fact that hes looks insanely tall,i saw an interview here in oz where he was asked if he was really 7 foot and billed and he said no that was bs he was really 6'10 or just a bit over.

In the Ask Pro wrestling torch section they have answered a few questions regarding wrestlers real heights, and these guys are in the know.

They said hogan is 6'5,same as scott hall.
    Undertaker,Kane 6'7and show 6'10 plus a few others.

These heights add up because show was always half a head taller than these guys.
