    Arrow Lat Spread

Does anyone have tips on doing the lat spread? I've practiced it a couple times but i feel that i'm pulling my elbows to far forward to see anything. Is there a tip, i usually do a vacuum as i do a front lat spread but my back lat spread seems invisible.

any suggestions or tips would help. thanks

remember it's impossible to flex your traps and spread your lats at the same time...that was one of the things I had to practice because my traps are a strong point and I always tried to emphasize them. Push your fists into your sides and maybe a angled back a little bit...here's a pic of my lat spread.

Here's the best way to improve ALL your poses. Set up a camcorder on a tripod, turn it on, walk in front of it and do your mandatories and routines. Play it back and see what looks good and what doesn't. You'll be surprised... and you can start making small adjustments that will make a big difference. I like to start my rear lat spread with my thumbs together at the top of my glutes. Pull your thumbs up your spine until you hit your lower lats, spread your back and roll your shoulders forward a bit, keeping your head straight. Hope that helps.
