Best times for cardio to cut on a 3 day full body split?

I don't want to lose muscle, seeing as how i dont have that much to begin with, and i'm still kind of a beginner so i was thinking i could still gain some slight strength while cutting.

Should i do cardio 3 days a week, after my workout? or 2-3 days a week on my off days?

Also, I'm only planning on doing 20-30 minutes of running.

I was thinking 20 minutes after my workout (but would this burn muscle?)

or 30 minutes 2 days a week, still giving me the weekends off.. (or should i run on saturday too)

thanks for the help, i didnt see specific cardio regiments in the stickies

I would run 3 days per week and do HIIT to not lose muscle. Seperate days from your lifting.
Do a search for HIIT if your not sure what that is.

I'm bringing this thread back to life because i want to see more opinions on it. I'm in the same boat as him. I Lift 4 days a week. Mon,Tues,Thurs, & Fri. Should I do cardio after I weight train or do it on my not weight tng days-Wed & Sat?? My cardio usually consists of running a mile on the treadmill. I'm cutting by the way.

I've done a 4-day split before with 3 cardio sessions. I like to work out 6 days a week, so one day would have a weight lifting and cardio session, and then the other days would either be weights or cardio.

So it would be like this:

    Mon: Chest/Triceps, cardio
    Tue: Back/Biceps
    Wed: Cardio
    Thurs: Legs
    Friday: Shoulders/Abs
    Sat: Cardio
    Sun: Off

I'm going back to this split in a few weeks, actually.

For a 3-day split I would just alternate between cardio and weights - then one off day. What is your 3-day split, by the way?
