How much increase between squat sets?

My last set of squats is 245lbsx6

To get there with 4 sets, I do:

    warmup-no weight
    1-135x8
    2-185x8
    3-225x6
    4-245x6

Is this increase plan okay? Is 40 to 50 lb increase allright?

Yes that looks good, the only thing I would say is that none of them should really be taxing. When I used to squat heavy, my warmups went:
    135x10
    225x6
    315x5
    365x3
    405x8 first work set.

non of the other previous sets are taxing. I would just let my body feel the weight, and stretch the quads for the work. Hope this helps.

Looks alright....I was on a similar progression myself but I prefer a slightly greater weight increment between sets (40-50 pounds).

    Here's my current scheme:
    12 x 135 (warmup)
    10 x 225
    8 x 275
    6 x 315
    8 x 275

What you are doing if perfectly ok. Different people prefer different things. I personally do not pyramid at all, as I prefer straight sets.

I do 1 warmup set at about 50% of my work set... focusing on speed and form. Then I jump into the work sets.
