Muscle Atrophy
i just am getting back in to working out after a 6 month break from weights and supplements. my first long break from lifting in almost 10 years.
i am super weak and lost 20lbs of muscle in just 6 months!
how come it takes years of dedication and hard work to get the muscle, but as soon as you stop you deflate like a pin hitting a balloon? it's not fair.
bears can hybrinate all winter and come out of their cave strong a hell.
do any of these supplement companies sell bear hormone?
sorry for the rant - just needed to complain

Its just the way our bodies work. If we don't need something, we try to get rid of it.

yes, i'll put up some updates.
i just got through the past month of base conditioning - so now i'm starting to change my workouts to heavier, shorter rep set. also going to run a bulk diet for the next 2-3 months. goal is to try and add back 10 of the 20 i lost.
DVV - you are ripped and have great muscle symetry! do you bulk then cut or are you always that lean?

alright, i figured i'd give an update on this thread i started almost 1 year ago.
anyway, i feel i've made some good progress (feel free to check my progress pics in my profile).
i started around 177lbs - unsure of my bf% but it wasn't good.
from there i did a very slow cut through August 2007 at which point my bf% was much improved and my total body weight was around 166lbs. i don't think i really gained any muscle but i seemed to have kept what i had by doing such a slow cut.
from Oct 07 through today i've been back on a steady bulk, putting back on some size while attempting to keep as much fat away as possible. currently i'm around 179lbs and i plan on continuing the bulk for a few more months.
