I usually put a little bit of powerbait on my spinner to make em beg for it!
I do mostly ocean fishing though.â•‘âœâœâœâœâœâœâœâ–…â–…â–…â–…â–…â–…â–…â–…â–…

I love using senkos, flukes, and other plastics. I usually just use a splitshot weight 18 in. above the hook. I float tube a lot, so I just drag the plastic along the bottom. I never use line heavier than 8lb test.

true true.
next time you go, pick up like 10-15 goldfish from petsmart. won't cost you more than 2.00$
they act just like a wounded fish when you set them on the hook. bass are drawn to them for some reason
also raw bacon wont come off the hook with just a nibble so if the fish want the bacon theyll have to bite hard, and theyll get hooked

always a good time using top water lures, when a largemouth comes up and breaks the water and takes your lure. i always have pretty good luck with a floating frog. you can take a real light weight and cut out a notch in it and put it in there, this way when you jig it, it will dip in the water and come back up. make em dance.
i've hit decent sized bass with rooster tails too, even though they're primarily for trout fishing.
can't wait to get out there fishing when it warms up a bit.

Whenever I would fish in missouri for bass or crappie I would you just regular minnows, worms, or top water jigs especially early in the morning...later in the day when the bugs start to come out use top water jigs or crank baits. Spinners work well but not in the heat of the day...
BUT WHEN I LIVED IN PANAMA, THIS IS WHAT WE USED TO CATCH:

i swear to jesus i saw at least a dozen 5lb+ bass today, every bass i saw was very skittish. kinda weird. Fish are about a week away from hitting the nests(alabama). nonetheless, today was frustrating, lost about a 6-7 pounder, next cast caught the fish in the avatar. had to wait till this evening to get any bites.

I guess it depends on your location. I'm from Michigan and during the summer months I am able to catch a lot of bass in this old gravel pit that I fish. The pit is not too deep, maybe 30 ft max. I fish along the shore using artificial worms. I usually use worms from the Worm Factory. They are raspberry scented and have a better action to them than Bass Stopper.

I fish along the shore trolling. I cast towards shore, let the bait sink, bounce it off the bottom a couple times. During evenings of really hot nights you can usually catch some bass near shore in the shadows. Also depending on the time of day use different collars. I look for contrast so during evenings I use a brighter color afternoons I go darker.
Poppers also work well, but are not as effective in choppy water.
What kind of location are you fishing in?Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

i'll go ahead and spill the beans on spawning bass. hopefully some of you guys have large bass in your lakes. anyways, if you see a male and female on a nest, the female is usually the one cruising in and out, increase the size of your lure, preferrably a plastic lizard/tube/creature/senko. if the smaller male picks the lure up, shake it out of the fish's mouth. in response the female more ofter than not will grab the lure that's too big for the male to handle.
