I was wondering if you all though benching 105 at age 16 was normal or if it was underweighted. Im not sure I weight 172 and I have a friend who lifts 180 and hes 15. I feel bad when he lifts that much makes me feel weak. Is 105 normal as a max. Oh yea in case your wondering my friend is 170 lbs.

My bench sucks major big ass. Ive not been at it long, i can rep 3 sets of 5 of 55kg. Im jsut keeping at it and i know i will get stronger

you just have to stick to a solid routine and the weight will come. the intensity has to be very hard though. i know a kid who workouts just as much as any other kid, but his intensity isnt there. and he hasnt put on any wieght on his bench, on the other hand i find to see that my workouts are pretty intense and i am constantly putting on more weight on my watch.

Dude you're 16, kids your age's benches are going to be absolutely everywhere. Some guys hormones may have fully kicked in and some (possibly yours) are still waiting to release. Keep lifting and eventually you'll hit that growth spurt where you'll be able to put more weight on the bar everytime you lift.
Just gotta be patient.

i was like 10 lbs more than u i did 130. when i was ur age
but check this out i didnt do consistently.
when i started constistently 3 months ago i was the same. actually i did 10
but i went to do the dumbells i could only do 65
i stuck to the dumbells
I ****ING GOT TO 80 in each arm stabilized now
my goal is 90 in the next 3 weeks!
****in a dude.
go to the dumbells and work on your muscle stabilizers, it can actually increase ur bench. plus u dont need a spot

i wasnt liftin at all at 16 years old. So youve got the lead on a lot of people. But when i did start liftin at 17 i could put up like 125 once and i weighed 190. Ive been lifting for like almost 2 years and now i put up 250 and only weigh 165. So keep at it
