Dip Belt - Melbourne, AU
Hi,
Spent the weekend going to Rebel Sport and Workout World looking for a dip belt. All they had on offer though, was weight lifting belts.
I'd buy one off the site here, or any other online site, but I'd like to try before I buy...just to make sure that it fit's alright and is comfortable.
Does anyone know of stores in and around the Melbourne area which stocks proper dip belts?
Cheers,
-Kristijan

Alternate until you can get a formal dip belt
I wanted to have weighted dips and did not have a dip belt. I looked at them and could not decide on one. I ended up using my regular lifting belt and took a chain from my lat pull down system and looped it to the buckle, through the weight and back to the buckle. It worked great and was comfortable.
New York Barbells has some nice ones if you want to but online.

Good luck!

I was thinking of doing the same, just wasn't sure on how much weight I could use on the belt before it started tearing through the leather.
If it comes to that, I'll just grab a normal weight lifting belt and do what you did.
Thanks for the link by the way

Weight limit
I have done a 45 lb plate comfortably. I have a material belt that is very tough. I have not tried it with my leather belt. Good luck and give it a try.

I just bought this one from the forums store and love it. DiamondDelts suggested this one. I've only used it a couple of times so far, but I do find it's very comfortable. And built to last!
