1985 on the beach

i just found a picture of the old tatdawg from panama city beach from around 1985. i was about 29 and living large. i had a badass shovelhead chopper on a rigid frame and a stripper for a ol lady. i also was headed for disaster and didn't know it. oh well at that time i was rollin. oh and try not to laugh at the suit as that was the style back then.

Yep thats definitly PCB. I would get off work at Spinnakers at 4 am then we would sit on the beach drinking while the sun came up then pass out and start all over again at lunch back then.
I am so happy those days are gone for me. I am a much better person mentally and physically as well.

Hard to tell, but could that by any chance be The Flamingo in the background? There aren't too many spots on the Redneck Riviera that I wouldn't recognize, lol. Cool pic. Makes me want to go look at a few of mine from late 70's in PC.

that was behind the miracle strip motel. it was across the street from the miracle strip amusement park and a couple of hundred feet from the pier. we stayed there every year. i always loved that beach.

That's not far from the Flamingo...which I believe is now a high-rise hotel...like almost everything around there now. I've got great video of my kids on some of the rides at Miracle Strip. I've been to many beaches around the globe, but none are as nice (imho) as the Gulf, and Cancun. I go to the gulf a few times each year.

pcb was a great place in the 70's and 80's for people like myself and my family that did not have much money. of course i bet is has changed by now. i ain't been there since 93.

Forgive my ignorance fellows, but last time I passed a beach in Panama it was only 4 or 5 years after that pic, but my "suit" was camo and/or ghillie... plus I had a rifle...

in those days tattoos were not fashonable like now then if you were covered in tatts and had long hair and a beard and rode a chopper people steered clear of you. plus my ol lady took that picture was wearing a lime green thong bathing suit and tattoo's also. she was a stripper in atlanta. you can imagine what kind of reaction we got on that beach. it was quiet a sight.

The late eighties were my high school years, gothic skater groupie. Led to interesting hairdos, very tightly pegged levis, and very pale skin. Rather ironic considering I own a tanning salon now

there were several goth chicks that danced nights with my ex. one even had her own hearse she drove around atlanta. i always loved that look. of course i stayed around various underground types in atlanta for many years.

most of us with a little age on us have gone through a lot of different styles in our life. so i always look at stuff in the context of the time it was took. old friends like to get together and go back through our pictures from 30 years or more and remember the times and people we knew. i was always outlandish and back in those days i lived to offend. but imagine a whole crew of us roaming around atlanta causing hate and discontent everywhere we went. even our women were the same as us.
