Already have done brah, someone else wants to ask i'll answer but I can't keep going in circles with someone who doesn't understand desensitisation. Can see where it will lead lmoa you're just gonna say "But you don't know if it's pron, it could be chronic masturbation, other chit etc". To which I'll say:
Then we repeat this circle, it's a bit tiring

I didn't ask about desensitation, I asked you to explain how porn ruined a relationship you had and how it negatively impacted your friendships.
You said both happened, I would like to hear more about those areas it should be extremely helpful to some one else that might be struggling with this to identify the issues they are having.Boomer Rep Crew #1

Reading YBOP again this morning for reassurance. This part struck a chord:

Lol brah I've told you about it a million times, this is a sad attempt.
You'll get further stories about how the addiction led to loss of relationships and friendships when you:
- Accurately explain what desensitisation
- Accurately explain why desensitisation happens
- Accurately list the symptoms that are associated with desensitisation
There was no line I never felt guilty about what I watched tbh, I've got no moral issues with pron really (apart from illegal chit obvs). I'd watch anything you can think of apart from cartoon chit (never saw the interest in that). My tastes escalated to the normal chit would morph all the time, basically just went through little phases all the time

you're so full of chit it's not even funny
you have zero personal experiences to share
I've read your brain on porn so many times, I don't have ti all memorized cause I really don't put much stock into it and one of the primary reasons is that very few people can actually articulate specific personal experiences, it's all just textbook answers.Boomer Rep Crew #1

lol brah you're a strange guy. No one's making you quit pron, go jerk off for the rest of your life no one gives a chit. Some people have an issue and want to quit. You yourself have already said you think porn addiction is a real thing so what are we really arguing about here?
Thanks for the compliment mate, genuinely appreciate it. I think you're being a bit generous but imagine how good it will be when I fully recover. Stay tuned to this thread and you'll see in a few months

To be honest I believe you are being sincere that you have a problem, would certainly explain your odd behaviour. First step is taking responsibility for the problem yourself and not rely on someone else to save you, only you can save you. Recommend re-reading YBOP, maybe with a dictionary by your side this time, and hope it clicks.
Wish you luck

Just not worth going into it with someone who doesn't understand desensitisation. Don't take it personally but without that knowledge you're not going to be able to understand
Well I've known about it for years, it's not like this is some underground secret lol. Read some of the old NoFap threads on here and found them useful. Decided to post here, as explained earlier, because I none of the usual recovery forums I knew about were accepting new members. Plus it's good to do it outside the bubble to hopefully reach a pron addict who doesn't know they have a problem (something that I know upsets you for some reason), and helps me to be critical about my understanding ensuring I don't fall into confirmation bias.

Yeah bro I sincerely believe that you won't understand why my personal experiences are related to my addiction unless you understand desensitisation. Call me Nostradamus but I can see exactly how the convo will go and I cba to keep going in circles with you
If you show that you understand desensitisation, why it happens and what the symptoms of it are then I'll know you have the proper framework to understand and I'll happily share.
But we appear to be at stalemate. You're not willing, or able, to do that and I'm not going to share with you until you do. So may as well leave it at that now
