Live the LEFT COAST. Have traveled to OK/Texas. There are pockets of nature and beauty. Woolaroc is a real treasure and hidden gem of USA. Food/Restaurants were better than the OverRated LEFT COAST food scene, and combined with being less active(see below) is perhaps why people are FATTER than BLUE Coasters
.....but the above commentary about Hillbillies/Meth is true and there is just not the same kind of access to nature and appreciation for nature as found on the LEFT coast where people live an ACTIVE LIFESTYLE and actually enjoy a weekend trip out to the MANY hiking trails.

Tbh super cool to see cities doing that, but I'm not in a rush to move just for $10k. If you lived somewhere super expensive and couldn't afford staying, this is an attractive option IMO.

NGL it passes the majority of my checks... cheap nice houses, republican state, doesn't look like a pile of chit. But there's one glaring negative that talks me out of it: It gets too cold to stay there. As someone from the southern states, I wanna be here during all 4 seasons. I can't imagine living any more north than South Carolina, srs.
