If anyone has seen it, which if you haven't you should (and also Part 1 - both on a big screen), but you'd know all of the Fremen are ME and North African.

Both sides certainly do this, which thinking about that does make me kind of pause. If you want examples of the right, a good place to start might be with like Tim Pool, and I don't even dislike or hate him (fuk, I've linked some of his videos here time to time), but he's good about taking an issue the right will care about, amplifying it and using a cons anger/rage to get views and an audience.

I think we're seeing a shift, I used to make these kinds of threads chitting on some goofy outrage or DEI nonsense and I'd take flack simply for talking about it. Like, someone gets mad at me for wanting to talk about the Little Mermaid or Disney being exposed having an agenda to not include white men anywhere.

I'm seeing less and less of that and it's become more and more muted. It's gone from a, "YOU RACIST", to "... I disagree", to "well you're probably right I guess", which is a pretty big movement overall.

I think this is very important. Our culture is the cornerstone to our identity. I don't want to inflate the value of talking about it on a dying forum, so no, "We must fight!! FIGHT LIKE HELL!" kind of speech, but yeah, it's important and I am interested in talking about it.

I think the problem, if it even is one, is that when he says the left and right both play these outrage games - like I said, he is right.

The difference is that's he's more likely to notice the right side, and vice-versa, but he's also not considering that the right tends to be way outside the mainstream. When The Daily Wire makes a small goofy movie about men pretending to be trans to win at sports, that's kind of cashing in on the outrage. It's also 1/1,000,000the the size, scope and influence of Disney. This used to be more measured back in the day when the left was more nuanced and restrained with the propaganda, which is no longer the case. The right was always small and on the outside and always very openly right-wing with their smaller stabs at cultural influence (used to be just poorly-made Christian movies). The left was far more influential but at least tried to pretend they were not so biased. Now though, they've gone all in, which I think is disastrous, but probably the topic of another thread/conversation.

So just stepping back for a second and pretending I'm perfectly unbiased in the center (which, no I am not) but if I were -- if the left has 1,000 times the size of the bullhorn to screech with, and they most certainly do, then to me that makes it far greater of the issue. Even if they both play the same kind of game.
