The amount of weight you lift does not matter for bodybuilding
Who cares if you bench 315 if you are only able to do 2 reps with 1/4 ROM
Who cares if you can bicep curl 60lb dumbbells if you can only do 4 reps while swinging your arms not even working your biceps
Doing slow controlled reps with a lower weight and perfect form is way better than lifting heavy weight
Sure if you are a power lifter then it's cool hitting heavy numbers but if your sole purpose is to build muscle then it's all about the motion
Arm wrestlers prioritise getting strong biceps and they always have crazy arms. People that train like pussies wonder why their arms don’t grow.
Same with lateral raises, they do high volume BS and don’t even progressive overload them mfers and wonder why they have chitty delts
Inb4 somebody cherry picks someone that does the opposite of what I’m saying and looks good. Listen, genetics are king at the end of the day, however getting strong is optimal.
Besides, You can still get your volume afterwards on backdown sets after your main working sets and hit the muscle with really strict form
