I live in a tourist area and people have collectively gotten worse at driving with GPS. GPS now takes all tourist on back roads designed for smaller cars. Roads expected to have 4-5 cars at once now have 30-40. People driving below the speed limit. People trying to pass cars when there is zero chance they can get more than 2 cars ahead, endangering literally everyone to get maybe 3 seconds ahead. People who know they need to get over in a turning lane but refuse until the last moment and then think bumper to bumper traffic should let them over. A lot more too lol

Hardly any cyclists in my city. One of the advantages of living in a place with chit weather for more than 1/4 of the year and garbage roads lol. Only problem is we have more retards in the road than average.

Tailgaters and people that are oblivious to current traffic conditions. Brb weaving in and out during rush hour. Brb driving the speed limit in the fast lane. Truckers generally ok, but there's a ton here and some are completely retarded. Zero reason for a trucker to be in the left lane. The absolute worst are the people that simply are dicks doing chit like speeding right up when you flip your blinker on to change lanes in front of them.

I've never seen a cyclist hit a pedestrian on the sidewalk. See tons of close calls with cars almost hitting idiot cyclists not following traffic laws on the road. The logic of pedestrians being in more danger to cyclists than cyclists are in danger of cars on the road doesn't even make any sense. The only reason cyclists on sidewalks are an issue is if they are pricks about how they pass people.

I have accepted it was not built for me specifically, is not my thing, and that I have to share and cooperate with other people. I understand I am in charge of me and other people can do whatever they want. I drive with courtesy and respect, and demand nothing of anyone else. With this mindset there is nothing anyone can do that would make me mad. I don’t take anything personal.


It doesn’t mean people do not accidentally or even intentionally interfere with me. I just disengage. I will come to a complete stop on the side of the road if that is what is necessary to create distance from people driving like *******s for no reason.


The purpose of me driving is for transportation only. I am not in a competition, I am not trying enforce anyone else following the rules, I am trying to get where I am going safely.

As a reasonable person, I regularly ensure my behavior aligns with that intended end state, and nothing else.

It feels good growing up. Would recommend.

Correct, it is less safe.

I've never understood the logic that cyclists are too unsafe for pedestrians on the sidewalk. Never once heard a story about a cylist smoking a pedestrian in my entire life, though I'm sure it does happen very rarely, as people are stupid enough to let it happen. Cops never harass cyclists on sidewalks in my area, but cylists do fuk up traffic really badly on the roads, even with their stupid bicycle lanes that just cut into the road and make the roads that do have them too narrow.
