I hate how bad Virgil's got after covid. Back in the day, they had amazing root beer. Now it tastes like ass. It's straight up too expensive to have good root beer nowadays.
I will say this. I tried Fever Tree gingerale a while ago, and it was impressive af. It tastes hella gingery and spicy. Not my favorite drink, but if you like gingerale, I recommend it.

disagree. far too sweet. for the extreme sugar content, other alternatives are more viable, ranging from other sugary drinks (docta peppa), to desserts (cake and pie), to fruits (mango).
for a while, that not your father's root beer alcoholic soda was popular.
