downloaded it earlier. watching it tonight on the 65"
will share thoughts later. no doubt it won't touch the Swayze original. but it'll be interesting to see mctapper in his first role. we all know jake can act - nightcrawler, prisoners etc
hopefully we'll see a blonde get her teddies out too like the original turbo sloot (no spoilers pls)
anyone seen it yet?

Watching it tonight.
Anyone who expects this to be a cinematic masterpiece is an idiot. It's probably ridiculous and campy fun, which is what it's exactly supposed to be. Conor McGregor is NOT an actor and shouldn't be judged as such. So any review where they talk about stuff like plot and characters I just ignore, it's not about that.

Watched yesterday. Pretty fun for what it is. Not better than the original. For some odd reason, roided up McGregor feels the need to keep showing off his asscheeks.

I watched half of it last night and left off where the owners daughter had a bat to chase away the baddies and dalton came out of the bookstore.
I’m surprised to far that he was famous before taking the gig but he doesn’t get how everyone in the keys knows him lolBLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

Been waiting for this for months. Rewatched the first one a few times last weekend.
Very busy this week so am waiting until tomorrow for the big premiere. Have some boys coming over and everything. I don't care how bad the movie ultimately is, all I care about is......
Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

Doesn't look like there's a single hbb in the entire movie
A young bull and an old bull were standing atop a hill looking at a bunch of heifers in a field below.
The young bull says "Let's run down this hill and fuk one of those heifers."
The old bull replies "No. Let's walk down there, and fuk them all."

The movie didn't know if it was trying to be serious or funny, so it ended up being neither.
Basically every character was poorly written, almost all of them had "The Office"-style quips and one liners to the point of being cringe.
The obvious DEI casting was lulzy(the Florida Keys actually aren't like 75% black/mulatto, despite what this movie shows)
Despite that there was some fun action and Jake Gyllenhaal is great as always, dude could've made something with better writing

Pretty bad. Fights starting out of nowhere, lead characters 0 charisma, people getting whacked left and right. Villain was some random kid who wanted beef with everyone. Road House owner's main character trait was staring out of her poverty office window 20 hours a day. 3/10 tops.
Kawnr Mcgregr stole the show with his initial entrance, then turned into an insufferable overacting weirdo.
Havent seen fight scenes this bad for decades.

Fat? What are you talking about? There's no wokeness in the film. I remember the original from when I was a kid and thinking it was corny AF. This was an improvement. A few parts of the dialogue are a little over the top/clunky. That would be my only real complaint. A fun film all around.

I watched about 5 minutes of it.
Was bored almost immediately. Stopped right after got stabbed and just let the guy go, all over $500 and some DEI hire approached him to talk about a job or something.
Rewatch the original or "Over the Top" or something. I had one last episode of Shogun to catch, did that instead. Great show. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

mirin that sloot, srs
lots of those small details is what makes the original such a classic
and the bartender sloot that goes to take Dalton his coffee in the barn the first time and pulls a hnnnngh facial expression as she just creamed herself
also mirin the Dr - Dalton gets busy with. And the Barn owner saying if you were smart you'd pitch your tent. (i'm not that smart, want to feel them natty sugar walls, hnngh)Subjecting yourself to self imposed discipline is the surest way to increase the quality of your existence

I like Jake but this looks like a pile of dog poo.
Swayze was way too "pretty" looking to really pull off the bouncer roll in the original.rumpler of stiltskins
