    If you're not swinging, it's impressive.

    That said, from a results perspective, there's not much of a need to go that far, and with the risk of injury, I wouldn't try it.

    Everyone is different, but biceps typically respond more to slow, controlled movements that focus on the pump and pushing the muscle to the max over the entire rep range.

    In all of the years that I've lifted, I don't think I've ever pushed it past 45lbs. Never felt the need. Could I have? Sure, but I think it would have been purely ego lifting.

    I added 3/4” to my Bis over this last year by adding in heavy cheat curls. They’d been stuck at the same size for years until now started curling heavy

    Yes OP that's SOLID weight

    Love when people hate on form, its always the small fuks lol

    Even if you're cheating if you fight the negative you'll get killer results (strength / size)

    There's no one size fits all way to lift...You do all styles for best results..That means heavy weight and chit form sometime then other times lighter wieght and strict form..Both

    Just like doing high reps light weight, low reps heavy..

    If you're not training all styles you're selling yourself short

    My max was 85 for 2 on a birthday, so anything close is super impressive to me.
    I will never attempt that again, the 50s are a nice compromise

    big facts! I mixing rep ranges is everything, if you’re not progressing on the heavier lifts you can atleast progress on the higher rep range stuff, not to mention it gives you the necessary variation to get the best of both worlds (strength and gains)

    I never see people go heavy on lateral raise either and they always wonder why they have mediocre delts

    I was using 2 scoops of a super stimulant pre workout and set a birthday goal months out. Started at 60s and slowly worked my way up , and on that day struggled ,but did it and smiled.
    Hitting goals is energizing.

    Heavy curls (and heavy lateral raises) will wear out your joints. Personally it gives me elbow pain. Not worth it, even for extra gains. Stick to low weight, high reps, do them very slowly to maximize that time under tension, concentrate on slow eccentric movement.
