Like those people who pretend to be nice but deep down are filled with rage, hate, and jealousy - they are ONLY happy when they're winning and they're in control and they're the best, and as soon as they're not, things get toxic.
Can you tell these people apart from the rest?

Can you 'sense' a toxic person?

Easily, it's called intuition. People put out an energy, it's easy to pick up on if you know what to look for.
As for the type of person you are talking about, you often need to hang out with them for a while to really pick up on that. Like they can be fun and pleasant to be around in short bursts, but the more time you spend with them the more likely you will encounter those traits. I had a friend like that, took a while to notice what a douche he was. Then again his personality really seemed to change for the worse over time, becoming a lot more self-centered and competitive, he was a lot more chill when we were younger.Last edited by JayJ350; 03-18-2024 at 03:18 AM.

Most people who appoint themselves as leaders these days fit this description
...and according to which an ensign might rank incomparably higher than a general, and according to which what was needed for success in the service was not effort or work, or courage, or perseverance, but only the knowledge of how to get on with those who can grant rewards, and he was himself often surprised at the rapidity of his success, and at the inability of others to understand these things

It is impossible to succeed in today’s society without being ruthlessly selfish with a high capacity to exploit others for personal gain.
The second you show empathy, the second your progression stops.
Anyone in a position of leadership for any organization is inherently toxic and only working on their own interests.
No one is working for the good of the group.I only read thread titles and my own posts.

You can safely assume that 85% of people at least are toxic to varying degrees. The question is rather, are you normiemaxxed enough to avoid provoking their toxicity?
The more genuine of a person you are, the more you'll get blackpilled on how people truly are.390 back squat

This.
I am very sensitive to the vibe / energies that people put out and pick up on all sorts of subtle cues, but some people are wonderful actors, just they can’t keep up the performance forever.
I met a girl last year who I literally did not suspect a thing for about 2 months or so, and then little by little her mask fell and I got a brief window into what was lurking beneath.
