Has your father ever told you he’s proud of you?
I had to think about this for a long time. I think for me the answer is no, although according to my grandmother he’s said it to her about me. Maybe that’s okay because men are supposed to be masculine, not emotional, with their sons.
But what about you?

Yes. Not often, but he has occasionally said he's proud of me. I try to remember to give my own kids praise. I probably don't do it enough.
