What is some knowledge you didn't figure out until mid-late 20s or later that really helped you out in work, relationships, or other areas.
Stuff that, when you realized it, it just "clicked" and you were able to make changes in your life
Here's mine:
When people are looking for/interviewing a leader, it's not a rational brain looking for the best person in a given circumstance. Instead it's almost entirely subconscious/monkey brain.
A rational person would look for a leader who is:
- Intelligent but not overconfident
- Works for the good of the group
- genuinely nice
Instead, the monkey brain looks for:
- Very confident
- dominant
- good looking

I see what you’re saying OP.
I would say that on a Long Time-Frame All Equals Itself Out.
・
(( ie: in this case of Leadership.
The Lack of a “the right” leader builds nothing and the environment/community goes to “shxt” aka becomes mediocre at best.
Stagnation. Slow decay.
・
“The Right” Leader inevitably leads in the right environment(the humans therein + what the purpose/origin of the labor being done is etc.) that
therefore builds a fruitful community to be in.
Becoming a self-reenforcing fly-wheel where humans actually enjoy working and therefore tell others frequently about it.
Compounding / Fly-Wheel Effect. ))
・
End all be all; This Reality / Universe Bends Towards Truth
MLK Quote Here:
“..the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice…”
Correct!
・
So human follies like what you’re pointing out are just that.
Follies.
Don’t Partake.
Eternal Vigilance.
・
・
Mine:
Our Lives + Our Selves Are Our Own Creation.
In All Ways Absolutely at All Times.
Beyond Current Comprehension.
・
Even language and communication are tools of our own evolutionary creation.
Ego & Identity are our own evolutionary creation.
What most believe to be true is an outcome of “The Spirit of The Times” + Their Forming Environment etc.
Most Humans Operate on a “Software” unchecked & unquestioned.
Like Leaves in the Wind.
Feeling that and seeing the above in itself begins to reveal what I affirmed.
・
Wild!
I would say that nothing is a secret though OP, it’s all right in front of us at all times.
It’s just; can we (see/feel/experience/know) it or not.
Like fish born in water.
In water being asked “how the water is?” by a passerby.
Responding “wtf is water?”
・
This life is phenomenally wonderful.
Wow!

That working hard will guarantee you a promotion.
Lol if anything they will just use you, and keep postponing your promotion.
Just do the bare minimum like Peter Gibbons in the movie Office Space, and leave when your shift is over.Arsenal FC

Effective workers are rewarded with more work
When you notice a problem, there's a great chance you will be assigned to solve it.... even when it doesn't have anything to do with you. After few times you will learn that the best way is to pretend not to see anything that doesn't affect you in negative way. Even if it's affects company in negative way.
People who say all the time they don't want any drama cause a lot of drama
Same with people who say they don't like to gossip. Biggest gossipers
The worst kind of boss/manager is someone who can't and won't take any advice from his staff. If that person is incompetent at the same time, it will most likely lead to good employees leaving the place.
There's always SOME hires and promotions based on nepotism, but not all of them are failure. The problem is created when almost ALL hires and promotions are based on nepotism because that will 100% lead to quality drop in employees.*** Positive Crew ***

Smiles to the face and sht to the back. Trying to be nice to people will get you very little if anything. Do 10 good things and screw up once - those 10 things never happened. Keep work at work. Nobody really cares or needs to know about your off time.

- It's not what you know, it's who you know.
- No amount of going above and beyond gets you ahead.
- If you have management who are on you if you walk through the door two minutes late, but disregard the fact you stayed back 40 minutes the night before. Heck, even if they just hound you for being two minutes late - run.Last edited by bananastand11; 02-16-2024 at 02:41 AM.
