Quite an interesting case. Tough to say yes, because at what point do we stop deflecting responsibility on the perpetrator?
If a kid was bullied, do he now put responsibility on the bullies?
Do we blame the school admin for not checking his backpack when they had enough concern to get him out of class and call his parents? Are they culpable? They could have prevented it.
They definitely are responsible for buying him the gun and choosing not to store it some place he has access to ESPECIALLY with his apparent mental issues.
But **** its tough in this situation because now you have case law, where people are going to try to use this to start placing blame on others when the root of the issue is the person who committed the crime.
