No matter what country to you go to there's just people living their daily lives. It's boring as hell.

Depends what you do with it.
I only read thread titles and my own posts.

I fuking love traveling, there is something so invigorating about waking up in a completely foreign place. The sites / experiences / moments / food / people are such a contrast from the day to day life one normally has. It’s like when traveling I feel like I have an entirely different brain, everything becomes an adventure. It’s also fun to be in a completely different place and essentially feel free from any identity constraint you have where you’re normally from. You are free to be whoever you want when traveling. Places of destination tend to be where other people are traveling as well, with great attractions and food and experiences so the vibe is a collective experience
My parents really made it a priority to travel a lot since I was pretty much a toddler so I think this is why it is so fun to me, I can see it being boring or redundant for certain personality types

I have friends that "love to travel"
they also complain about being wageSLAVES and not having a house, money, and so on.... and are often miserable complainers until that time for holiday and then soon after they are back to complaining about life
kind of like how the LIBERAL SPENDING RwingNUTS have expensive GUN$ collections and BIG TRUCKS then complain about INFLATION and GA$

If your life is good at home its not necessarily all that people make it out to be. 99% of travelcels seem to be losers and just walking and looking around taking pictures is the extent of their trip.
I like to actually do stuff that's not accessible near me. IE:
-Travel to Africa for a Safari/hunt.
-Go dive the great barrier reef or the reef in Belize.
-Take a trip to the mountains to hit some twisties on my motorcycle.
-Take a trip to the mountains to snowboard.
-Etc. I'm not opposed to going to a new city just to experience it. But I sure as **** don't want to spend my entire trip surrounded by thousands of people.

Glad we have a WEF shill in here to try and con the normies into abandoning travel, and living within their 15 minute prisons.

It's been this way.
I enjoy traveling once or twice a year to faraway destinations, plus multiple drive trips a year to beach for long weekends. I don't love packing and unpacking so wouldn't want to do it more often than that. I also miss home and my own bed after 6-7 days and am eager to go home by end of trip.
Going to a national park and a Caribbean cruise this year. Might plan an overseas trip for 2025.~ In a world where you can be anything, be kind ~

describe something worth going to and i'll gladly go.
this childless atheist woman from work took my girl to some acrobatic show called cirque des olay or whatever it's called...apparently it started with a dude putting a dildo on his head and lots of men running around with their arse out.
some people get excited to travel and do crap that has zero appeal to me.

I don't understand why people hate on traveling.
I think it's important to experience new cultures, places, foods, etc. Skip all the dumb touristy chit and see how people actually live in different parts of the world. It can really open up your perspective. Chit, I started making homemade baguettes regularly after having them in France. US grocery store bakery doesn't cut it for me anymore.
I've also got family in the EU, so maybe my experience is a little different.
Now leaving the country just to go to an all inclusive resort and hang out with like minded, similar people where everyone speaks the same language. That's not traveling, that's just dumb. You can do that in your hometown.

Just to add substance to this thread....
- Every country, city, region, town has its own traditional Stew of some sort. You know the kind of **** poor moms and grandmas cook. Usually its fckin delicious and something I try to find & eat this type of dish everywhere I go regardless of what the country is known for food wise. I also make sure to hit a McDonalds in every country I visit try one of their country specific items.(it started as a joke with a friend. Now is a ritual)
- As someone else mentioned the entire world is being sanitized. Cultures are literally disappearing before our eyes. Its pretty bad in America, so literally almost everywhere else you go xcept maybe the super diverse European cities feels like cohesive and nice. Its just nice to be around that. And obviously lots of small cultural differences from your own culture likely.
- I've collected honey from every country I've been in. Why? It lasts forever, I can enjoy it whenever I want, and its something humans have been doing since the dawn of man.
- Just unplugging from the rat race itself is nice, but being in a completely different part of the world heightens that feeling x100. I agree the "walmart" vacation style which is what I consider Cruises/Resort stuff, is not my cup of tea. I live in Miami, I will just take a random Tuesday off to rot at the beach like a POS. That being said I'll be doing some south italy this year, you can bet your boy is gonna be yucky at the beach a few days at least.
I'll edit as I think of more. But to think your living a better life because you have a stable roof over your head, and never want to leave it when you live in the literal golden age of technology and transportation is a joke. Peasants traveled back in the day, let alone rich nobles and aristocrats. Not wanting to travel is called being boring and narrow minded. To each his own, I wouldn't shame anyone for it, but lol @ non travel-cels trying to shame other people. Are you not entertained?
