Iron Sanctuary version 3.0

Moved into the new house last Friday.

I've spent most of my efforts getting the new gym set up.

99% done at this point.

Solid voice. You could be the Morgan Freeman of canadian docus. Not sure what Chaz sounds like, but thinking it may be high pitch.

Sweet set up, looks really professional. All I have is a rack and some free weights. And a pull down/rowing station.

-Do you use that Viking Press attachment with your Landmine then?

-Are you using horse stall mats for flooring? That's what a lot of people recommend and I've thought about eventually doing to upgrade the flooring in my gym.

-Possible additions I could think of would be a mounted TV somewhere and then maybe some different light fixtures/lighting?

-I like the Bluetooth speakers. I have a sound bar w/a sub in gym. Run the TV audio through it as well. Nothing better than a wireless speaker that you don't have to charge.

-You now have high enough ceilings to do Standing OHP?

YES

YES, the 5 x 7 ones are an absolute bitch to move but the 4 x 6 ones are very manageable even with one person.

I have a spare TV but no desire to set it up down there. I don't even watch TV or movies any other time. Certainly wouldn't bother in the gym.

Also I am OK with the light fixtures. There's about 10 of them in the entire basement and they all match. I'm no changing them all out.

One is powered and the other one has a proprietary cable link to the powered one; the cable that came with them was only 15ft so I had to order a longer one now because the room is 24ft long. Until it gets here I am using my JBL Partybox 110. It more than does the job.

Nope. 90" ceiling. We didn't see a single house in the 5 months that we looked that had a ceiling high enough in the basement. I still do standing OHP I just had to buy an additional ten 10 lb plates.

Gotcha. I think the only reason I can in mine (and it is just high enough) is because that part of my basement is unfinished. So it is just the floor trusses above and no actual drop ceiling or sheet rock.

The 5 x 7 mats I got at Peavy Mart (previously Tractor Supply Company).

The 4 x 6 are exactly the same except the dimensions and they are sold under the brand name Gorilla by a fitness store here.

They have them where they attach directly to your power rack (like Flex's) or you can just get the post version which goes into a stack of weight plates (which is the one I have, see below). Fantastic for back work, especially with all the different attachments you can use for your grip.
