Just not a leading man material. Every role I've seen him in he is a very dark and gritty character and would make a boring hero.

Biehn only agreed after demanding a considerably large sum.

This could go a long way to explaining his relationship with and shunning by Hollywood.

he never made the jump to leading man. all his movies or at least all of his best movies were supporting roles or ensemble casts.

I saw him at dragoncon about 20 years ago and he said his favorite role was being johnny ringo in tombstone. Keep in mind, he said this to a hall of aliens fanboys and larpers who were in costume for it. Weird choice imho.

Watch terminator 1, his presence keeps that movie together and he's equally as good as the good guy hero to Arnold's villain
