Every nurse makes more in California than anywhere else, except New York City possibly but I'm not sure. I know several NP's working for Cardiologist and Critical Care in ICU's in Houston and they don't get paid anywhere near 200K.
https://www.salary.com/research/sala...20%24134%2C500.
How much does a Cardiac Nurse Practitioner (NP) make in the United States? The average Cardiac Nurse Practitioner (NP) salary in the United States is $126,060 as of December 27, 2023, but the range typically falls between $118,600 and $134,500. Top 90% is only 142K.
Salaries all depend on location, cost of living and current trends in care. Yes, 200K and up is possible but you're not getting that in most states.Official Supp. Misc Beer Crew

Dont you chit in a bag? LMAO. You probably spend more time in the hospital than any nurse here working overtime, lol.
Anyway, ive been an RN for 10 yrs, working in the ER/ICU. Thanks to the Covid money tree, i have two houses fully paid off and am training to become a CRNA. When i finish i'll make close to 500k a year. It's not uncommon in that field to make that, even in a fly over state.
But Nursing does suck for real men. It is a woman's job, and there's no way around it. That might change with more men going into it. And being a midlevel (PA/NP) isnt much better. They are actually paid less over time and are essentially the Dr.'s bitch, doing the tasks/cases that he/she doesnt want. For the amount of responsibility, their pay is pathetic and for some reason hasnt really increased with RNs and Docs. Probably market saturation. I'd rather take on a higher level of education and responsibility if it will get me into a completely different tax bracket.
Also, these 50+ year old patients are the biggest kunts on earth. They're actually much less healthy than their parent's generation and much more entitled. Glad to not have to deal with them being concious anymore, and their poor health will guarantee i stay in high demand. OTOTH, the 70s-80s year old generation is the GOAT. They dont even make people like that anymore and im glad i was able to take care of them.
In the end, LMAO if any of you think i gave a fuk what people thought about me while i worked my way up to the top.
